Betty Blake (Betty Blake Elrod) was born in 1983 in San Diego, California. She grew up in Texas and Tennessee,
and attended college at the College of Charleston, in South Carolina.

She moved to San Francisco, Ca in 2005, where she currently lives and is building up a body of work
pertinent to this phase of her life (phases tend to coincide with geographical locations).
As her work evolves she continues to address the relation to the space in which it inhabits.
Installation based and non-permanent mediums are naturally becoming more pervasive.

She is highly interested in Art and Psychology, as well as the vast connections between disciplines.
She plans to pursue a degree in Art Therapy or Clinical Psychology in 2009.
